Some dredging projects require precise removal of material, often at inland sites. Dredges are regularly used to remove accumulated silt from lakes and ponds. Another common use is to remove contaminated sediments and sludges from waterways and industrial ponds.

All Ellicott Dragon™ dredges can run on biodegradable hydraulic fluids and bio diesel fuels. When dredging in an environmentally sensitive area consider an environmentally friendly designed low turbidity or electric dredge.
